Whose Media Is It, Anyway?

The Seahawk, University of North Carolina Wilmington, NC

4 hours ago by Katie Gay | Samantha McNeill

Monopoly is no longer just a board game; it is reality for cable subscribers in Wilmington, NC. Perhaps the Parker Brothers were trying to warn the public by designing a game in which the main goal is to bankrupt other players by accumulating the most money and property.

Duke football is as bad as bad gets

It's rare, but sometimes lawyers are able to present a piece of evidence so damning that the word "irrefutable" doesn't do it justice.

I totally agree; more John McCain PLEASE!

There have been a lot of rants about Parking and Transportation, but the blonde woman who works there is way hot, and that's why I like going there.

Not only do I like to look at all these new girls walking around during orientation, I like looking at their hot moms.

People in today's society seem to have forgotten that choices have consequences. An article in "The Charlotte Observer" interviewed young mothers that were against giving their children the required vaccinations. According to the article, North Carolina's policy has loopholes that allow mothers to object for spiritual reasons.

Cable companies want to start charging by the gigabyte

Niner Online, University of North Carolina, Charlotte, NC

They say this move is to prevent "bandwidth hogs" from slowing Internet speed for average users. They say this change - they call it "Internet metering" - will make cable bills more like other utility bills. The cable companies plan to bill based on the amount of the service a consumer actually uses versus charging everyone the same rate.

News media ignoring Iraq

Lara Logan, chief foreign correspondent for CBS News, recently spoke for frustrated Americans everywhere when she told The Daily Show's Jon Stewart that "if I were to watch the news that you hear here in the United States, I would just blow my brains out because it would drive me nuts.
