INTRIGUING? OR TRIGGERING?
During the recent feminist colloquium, when a Seahawk reporter quoted my remark about the effects of viewing The Century Project on survivors of assault and abuse, my Southern drawl must have led her astray! Instead of stating that people who are survivors would find the photos and stories "intriguing," I actually stated that those who have suffered similarly may find the images and stories "triggering.…
