Swimming Seahawks deserve more recognition

Congratulations to our swim team. It goes without saying that certain sports are given more recognition than others. The Seahawk swim teams are a point in fact. Last weekend, the men's team won its sixth straight CAA title. And the women's team came in second to our rivals, William and Mary.
We decided to publish the article on their sixth victory on the front page in an attempt to show there are more school sports to be proud of on campus. We should not forsake basketball and baseball, but we are forsaking certain teams that deserve your support.
Feel your teal, but spread it around. We have a great athletic department on this campus. Just walk into Trask Coliseum and look at all the history behind glass at the entryway. It's something that isn't going to stop, but these athletes deserve your support, so get out there and show some school pride at your next chance.
