What is your bands name?

Bloodjinn

Where is the band from?

Greensboro, NC

Who is in the band?

Joel Collins, Mckenzie Bell, Kyle Rakes, Justin Carter and Brian Willis

How did you all meet?

Through the scene really. Me and Brian have known each other forever. Kyle and Justin came from a local band in there hometown in Eden, NC. We met Mckenzie through playing together.

Who would you say you sound like?

There are a few bands. Killswitch Engage we get a lot. Little hints of Lamb of God and Unearth. Pantera obviously. Little bit of Meshuggah. Even old Metallica.

Where does your inspiration come from?

Just metal in general. It used to be hardcore. We'd write sloppier stuff but now it's metal, our roots.

What does the band do before shows?

We usually just load in and then if we aren't getting fed we go get food, play around with the instruments, set up the merch, go meet up with friends who are at the shows. Pretty much hang out in general.

Where does the band eat after a show?

Depends on where the show was. When we play at the Brewery in Raleigh, we go to Snoopy's which is a walk up. It's usually that or we'll stop somewhere late night like a Waffle House or 24 hour fast food. We eat gas station food. We wing it.

What is the best part of playing music?

Honestly, it's the love of my life. Meeting people, interacting with people who enjoy our music. We wake up, have all day to chill and then you have that 30 minutes to one hour that is amazing. It's like a drug.

Who is the shy one?

That would be me. Publicly I'm the quietest, then business wise it's the opposite.

Who is the goofy one?

Everyone has a goofy side in the band. Overall, I'd say our bass player. He's the goofiest guy and he'd kill me for saying that.

Who keeps everyone else in line?

Me on the business end.

If you lived on a deserted island, who would be eaten first?

Probably me. Mckenzie would roast me like a chicken or something
