Dr. Arnold Murdock, assistant professor in the Watson School of Education, has been relieved of his job duties and is not permitted on UNCW's campus. As a precautionary measure, you are being notified of this individual's status. If you have any knowledge of his presence on our campus, you are urged to contact UNCW Police immediately.

If it was a personal problem why go through the trouble of alerting students??? The student body wants to know the facts, not some Hitchcock explanation. (Continued…)

Why would I call police if I don't know the reason I'm calling? They said that he doesn't pose a threat. Apparently he just recently left a psychiatric facility. (Continued…)

i think its unfair that you only warn us and not tell us why he has been relieved. wouldnt it be in our best concern to know what he was done in case we do see him?

That message should have never been sent out because it insinuates that he is a threat when he is not. His wife made untrue statements to the university, which resulted in this situation. (Continued…)
