The New Hanover Health Department is responsible for removing dangerous wildlife as well as responding to any complaints of wild animals. The department helps to raise the awareness of rabies and other health problems for both pets and humans.
The Salty Paws Festival brought many different causes together all to accentuate and celebrate animals and the joy they bring, while also giving out important information and awareness to pet owners.
